Susan Perabo is Writer in Residence and Associate Professor of English at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. Her story collection, Who I Was Supposed to Be, was published in the summer of 1999 by Simon & Schuster, and named a "Book of the Year" by the Los Angeles Times, The Miami Herald, and The St. Louis Post Dispatch. Her first novel, The Broken Places was published in 2001. Her non-fiction has recently appeared in several magazines and anthologies, and she is currently at work on a new collection of short stories. She holds an MFA from The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

Susan Perabo teaches fiction workshops at the introductory and advanced level, an upper-level course in the craft of the short story, and literature courses with a focus in contemporary fiction. She is the program coordinator for the creative writing minor, and the faculty advisor for the Belles Lettres Literary Society and The Dickinson Review.
