Octalmonials
The Octals are an inspirational and engaged campus organization that vividly transmits through song
the spirit of Dickinson and the joy of the arts.

The Octals provided holiday music for the first annual Tree Lighting ceremony for Hospice of Central PA.
Hospice of Central PA serves this region and is the only non-profit hospice program in the area. The Octals
sang before the candle lighting, led the group (estimated at 150) in carols and a Hanukah song. They also
provided a few numbers during the reception afterwards. EVERYONE in attendance was thrilled and couldn't
say enough good things about these young men. I am extremely grateful for their willingness to volunteer to
do this at a hectic time in the semester. They represented themselves and Dickinson in grand style and were
a big part of making this ceremony significant and meaningful to all those in attendance.
Thanks so much

The Octals have performed the national anthem numerous times at our men's basketball games and have done an
outstanding job. Several of our fans have requested that they perform at every game because the quality of
the performance sets the tone for the entire evening.

The Department of Athletics at Dickinson College appreciates the participation of the Octals in our pre-game
activities, by offering their interpretation of the Star Spangled Banner. There is probably a certain amount
of tediousness or weariness in singing the same piece many times over. However, the Octals always provide a
fitting expression of voice and melody that always makes their public renderings different and special and
well received by all of our spectators.

A few of the Octals performed during our RA training closing banquet dinner. They brought a touch of class
and elegance to the night. Everyone enjoyed their performance and were impressed by the quality of their
performance.
