I completed my Ph.D. at Clemson University in Mathematical Sciences and joined the Dickinson faculty in 2002. I was recently promoted to Associate Professor. I'm originally from a small town in Western NY called Almond, which is south of Rochester. My two sons, John and Spencer, definitely keep me busy! I've been training in the martial arts for 23 years, and I am the advisor and head-instructor for the Chidokwan Karate Club on campus.

My scholarship is in the field of operations research, with particular interest in discrete linear and nonlinear optimization. I've recently become interested in computational biology.
