Web Portfolios

One problem with presenting a portfolio of your work as a web designer is that web sites change. If you aren't currently engaged in maintaining a site, it's likely that the site does not represent your work.

Currently, the Dickinson College site is the one that takes up all my time and is representative of my work. Some sites that I designed earlier include:

Shippensburg University

In February 1999, I redesigned the main web site for Shippensburg University. The visual aspect of this design was based on a new set of admissions publications which were then in use.

The current Shippensburg site does not reflect my design, but I have a few screen shots from that period.

Before I took over the main university site, I created InfoShip in my capacity as registrar. It was a way to provide web services to students and faculty from one site.

InfoShip was not particularly compelling from a visual perspective, but it was well-organized and provided useful information.

As a registrar, I was active in our regional professional group, the Middle States Association of Collegiate Registrars and Officers of Admission (there's a name that rolls off the tongue).

After giving presentations about web design and HTML at a few of the annual meetings, I was tapped to create the group's web site.
