Chapter 5 - Using Graphics and Colors

Web browsers such as Netscape and Internet Explorer have the capability of displaying graphics as part of your document. This capability is one of the reasons the Web has become so popular; documents enhanced with pictures and colors are more fun than the drab old text pages that systems like Gopher provided. In this section, we'll cover the HTML tags that are used for images.

One word of warning: once they learn how to use graphics, many people go crazy and stick pictures all over their pages. Not only does this clutter up the pages, but it also increases the amount of time it takes for the pages to load. So try to use some restraint when putting graphics on your pages!
