The women of our sorority are dedicated to serving others. Throughout the year, we create opportunities to help the Carlisle community. We volunteer at PROJECT Share, we cook food for the Ronald McDonald House. We organize an Easter egg hunt for community children. We offer our help for the Mooreland Elementary School's annual winter fair.

We also care about national and international issues. We often frequent campus discussions and provide our insight. Delta Nus raise their hands in class. More often than not, we are eager to engage in dialogue as we learn how we can impact society. We are Dickinsonians developing our abilities to change the world for the better.

We raise money for national philanthropies like the American Cancer Society, Tsunami Relief, and Up 'Til Dawn. Frequently, we join ongoing campus and community efforts, where help is needed. To other campus and community organizations, do not hestitate to contact us. Where we can help, we're there! Below are descriptions of our two most successful events, Mr. Dickinson and Up 'Til Dawn.

Mr. Dickinson:

Each year, Dickinsonians crowd into the Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium to see Dickinson 's finest male students perform a talent; strut their stuff in formal attire, Dickinson wear, and swimwear; and pump up the crowd. After each of these rounds, faculty and student judges select the best contestant who is subsequently awarded the title Mr. Dickinson. All proceeds are donated to Safe Harbor, a long-term shelter which provides housing and self-enhancement programs for homeless and potentially homeless single adults and families. This year, we raised $3,900!

Up 'Til Dawn

"Fight the yawn–stay awake to cure childhood cancer." This is the motto of Up 'Til Dawn–a college and university fundraising event benefitting St. Jude's Children's Hospital. This year, some of our sisters organized this event, and thanks to their leadership, Dickinson students raised more than $40,000 for the cause. For our grand finale, we celebrated by staying up all night. Dickinson's a cappella groups performed, students played games and won prizes, and no one left hungry. Want to help next year?
