Major Projects:

Integration and Assessment of Pair Programming, Test-Driven Development and Lab Practica in an Introductory Computer Science Course - An NSF funded project to develop a new Objects-First CS I course and to assess the effects of pair programming on the development of individual programming skills.
Teaching Objects in Context - A collection of labs created for our new CS I course in which students implement key classes within the context of a larger application.
Integrating Empirical Methods into Computer Science - An NSF funded project to identify core empirical skills and concepts for computer science students and to develop resources for integrating those skills and concepts into the CS curriculum.
The Knob & Switch Computer Homepage - The Knob & Switch Computer is a CPU simulator that can be used to teach Computer Organization in a breadth first introductory CS course. This page contains Information, course materials and downloads related to the K&S Computer.
