| The observatory is one of the
tools the Astro club uses to teach people about astronomy. The observatory
houses a 24'' Britton telescope. To accompany the Britton the club has a
variety of Meades at its disposal. The observatory the Astro club uses is
a new addition to the Dickinson community. It was constructed only a couple
of years ago. |

| The observatory is often used
for the Astro club's star parties. At these parties the Britton is opened
to the Dickinson and Carlisle communities. The Astro club not only opens
up the Britton but also the Meades on the observing deck. This allows people
to view many objects in the night sky. |
